Mechanism

How the treatment works

The lateral part of the orbicularis oculi muscle is selectively relaxed, reducing crease formation when smiling.

Procedure

The treatment procedure

Very fine injections at a few points lateral to the eye. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.

Aftercare

After the treatment

Avoid rubbing the eye area for 24 hours, no exercise or sauna on the day of treatment.

Risks and side effects

Mild redness or small bruises are possible. Rarely, under-eye swelling if injected too closely.

Contraindications

Not suitable for certain neuromuscular disorders, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or in the presence of infections in the treatment area.
