Mechanism
How the treatment works
A firm, highly cross-linked product is placed deep at the bony level. There it creates stable projection forward or downward, depending on which axis is lacking in profile. Because the chin is assessed in relation to lips, nose, and jawline, even a small quantity shifts the balance of the entire lower face.
Procedure
The treatment procedure
The profile is first assessed from the side, often using photographs in a standardised position. After local anaesthesia, volume is placed at defined points on the chin tip and body. The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes.
Aftercare
After the treatment
Cooling as needed, no massage of the chin area, no sports, sauna, or tanning for 48 hours.
Risks and side effects
Swelling, redness, and bruising are possible in the first few days. Rarely, nodules, asymmetry, or inflammation occur. Very rarely, vascular occlusion can occur.
Contraindications
Not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the presence of infection or inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment area, with known hypersensitivity to components of the product, or with certain autoimmune conditions.

Does this replace chin surgery?
No. Contouring with hyaluronic acid works with soft tissue and achieves a subtle, reversible change in projection. For pronounced skeletal discrepancies, maxillofacial assessment remains the appropriate route.
