Mechanism

How the treatment works

Cross-linked hyaluronic acid is placed in defined layers — deep on the bone for structural support, more superficially for finer transitions. It binds water and creates a stable supporting cushion that lifts the tissue above it. Because the midface carries many neighbouring areas, the effect often extends beyond the treated zone.

Procedure

The treatment procedure

Treatment begins with an analysis of facial proportions in a seated position, as volume relationships appear differently when lying down. After local anaesthesia, hyaluronic acid is placed with a needle or blunt cannula at predetermined points and modelled. The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes.

Aftercare

After the treatment

Cooling as needed, no massage of the treated area, no sports, sauna, or tanning for 48 hours. Sleep on your back for the first few nights.

Risks and side effects

Swelling, redness, and bruising are possible in the first few days. Rarely, nodules, asymmetry, or inflammation occur. Very rarely, vascular occlusion can occur — one reason this treatment is performed exclusively by physicians with precise knowledge of vascular anatomy.

Contraindications

Not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the presence of infection or inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment area, with known hypersensitivity to components of the product, or with certain autoimmune conditions.

Will my face look fuller afterwards?

The aim is not more volume but volume in the right place. Built structurally and with restraint, the face reads as more supported and more awake — not fuller. The quantity follows the original anatomy, not an ideal.

How long does the result last?

Depending on the product, the treated area, and individual metabolism, usually twelve to eighteen months. Breakdown is gradual, so there is no abrupt transition.
