Mechanism

How the treatment works

The hyaluronic acid component provides immediate volume, hydration and a lifting effect, and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed. The calcium hydroxylapatite component breaks down slowly, stimulating fibroblasts to form collagen. Firming therefore persists even once the hyaluronic acid component has long been metabolised.

Procedure

The treatment procedure

After assessment of tissue firmness and local anaesthesia, the product is injected with a blunt cannula at a defined depth into the deep dermis and the subcutis to stimulate collagen production there. The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes.

Aftercare

After the treatment

Cooling as needed. A massage is carried out immediately after the treatment; no further massage is required afterwards. No sports, sauna, or tanning for 48 hours.

Risks and side effects

Swelling, redness, and bruising are possible in the first few days. Rarely, palpable nodules occur. If nodules persist, become painful, or grow after a treatment, please contact us so the cause can be clarified.

Contraindications

Not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the presence of infection or inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment area, with known hypersensitivity to components of the product, with a tendency to keloid formation, or with certain autoimmune conditions.

Can the result be reversed?

Only partly. The hyaluronic acid component can be dissolved with hyaluronidase; the calcium hydroxylapatite component cannot — it is broken down by the body alone. For this reason dosing is deliberately restrained and the indication carefully reviewed beforehand.
